Ries Graphics is a full-service printer that specializes in multi-color printing. We are capable of taking your job from concept to completion. No matter where we start in the process with a project, your satisfaction is our main objective.
The Ries story began in 1916 when Peter J. Ries opened a small printing shop on
North Avenue in Milwaukee (right photo), where type was set by hand and a reputation
for being a top printer was established.
Peter's son Roland soon joined him at the
shop, and the company steadily grew, even being able to weather the "Great
Depression." By 1950, Roland's son Don had joined the family business,
eventually assuming management of the company. The formula of keeping customers satisfied and investing in the best technology allowed continued growth under his leadership.
Today, the company is led by Don's wife, Leila, and their two sons Don and Dan. The commitment is the same: Buy the best equipment, hire the best people and make sure the customers' expectations are met.
In 1980, the company name was changed from Ries Printing Company to Ries Graphics to coincide with the move to our current building and to better describe the range of printing-related services we offer. Since 1988, the building expanded three times with additions to keep up with the space needed as we added technology.
In 2011, a complete renovation of the building was completed. The project opened up 5,000 square feet of production space for our finishing department. It also increased work space and improved workflow in pre-press. Sales and administrative workers were also provided with better and more efficient office space.
We look forward to the opportunity
to serve you.
